The Local Community
The Local Community

- We are currently in discussion with Helping Hands, part of the
Well Child organisation, regarding a refurbishment and redecoration
project for the Children's Ward at Lewisham Hospital.
- Lewisham Hospital is a local, hospital in South London which
provides one of the few dedicated, children-only Accident and
Emergency Departments in South London and attracts patients from as
far a field as Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
- We have used our professional skills, experience and contacts
to give something back to our local community by refurbishing the
family room, teenagers' room, nursery and private room.
- Finishing touches to the works included providing two new
leather sofas, three leather chairs and a coffee table to the
family room and a seaside-themed mural and a selection of books in
the nursery.

- We all owe thanks and gratitude to the servicemen and women of
our country and recognise the services that Help for Heroes do in
providing support to those injured whilst serving their
country.
- Help for Heroes was founded to provide practical and direct
support to the men and women of our armed forces wounded in the
service of our country and we are pleased to have donated money
towards their work.

Managers, Tony Hunt, as he participated in the Flora London
Marathon on 26th April 2009 raising money for Macmillan Cancer
Support.
- Macmillan Cancer Support help improve the lives of peopleliving
with cancer and their families and carers. One in three people get
cancer and we are all affected; Macmillan ain to be a source of
support. Their primary goal for 2010 is to reach and improve the
lives of everyone living with cancer.

- We chose not to send Christmas cards again this year and
instead opted to give money to charity whilst supporting the local
community.
- We teamed up with Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and Simon
Hughes, local MP, and ran a competition for the children of
Cathedral School of St Saviour & St Mary Overy to design a
poster depicting 'What Christmas Means to Me'.
- The competition was judged by a GOSH representative, Simon
Hughes and our MD, Mark Richards, and resulted in the winning
children and runners up being awarded a prize and the school being
given £500 towards arts & crafts materials.
- In addition to this we presented a cheque for £1,000 to Great
Ormond Street Hospital in support of the world-class care that they
provide for their young patients and their families and to pioneer
new treatments and cures for childhood illness.
