- We provided sponsorship to Eddie Young, our Head of Building
Services, for his participation in a charity fund raising walk
along the Great Wall of China which he claims was an experience of
a lifetime.
- Between 16th and 26th May 2008, a team of about 35 walked for
six days along the Great Wall of China to raise money for the
British Olympic Foundation and Cancer Research. The walk itself was
titled `Walk like an Olympian` as the group included previous
Olympic participants such as Steve Cram, Allison Curbishley, Karen
Pickering, Steve Smith and Guin Batten.
- The walk covered the areas of the wall North of Beijing around
Jinshanling, Simatia and Gubeikou and included lengths of the Great
Wall which date back to 2000 BC to parts which were re-built in the
early part of the twentieth century for more recent
conflicts.
- The wall itself covers a total approximate length of over 4000
miles and has been walked in its entirety (which took just over two
years) - luckily for Eddie and his fellow walkers, they only walked
between five to eight miles a day!

- In our support of colleagues and their families, we offered
sponsorship to the Acton Under 12s Cricket Team in order to provide
them with new equipment (bats, balls and stumps) as well as
supporting their end of year party to encourage participation and
promote new members.

- Again, supporting our employees and their families, we donated
funds to help raise money for new floodlights for Dorking Saints
Football Club with members from Under 6s to Under 12

- The sponsored walk also raised money for Marie Curie Cancer
Care Trust in memory of former Dorking FC play, Stewart
Vaughan

- We were pleased to provide sponsorship to a young,
up-and-coming windsurfer, Chris Murray
- Our sponsorship helped him participate in windsurfing
competitions both nationally and internationally whilst promoting
the new, dynamic sport of windjamming

- In order to encourage exercise and group activity, we arrange
regular five-a-side football matches against our clients and
sub-contractors. Not only does this promote sporting activity and
teamwork but it also gives us the opportunity to meet people that
we deal with on a social level (in addition to the fierce
competitiveness which can also be witnessed!).

- We were pleased to have offered support and sponsorship to one
of our consultants who participated in the Stockholm Marathon on
31st May 2008
- CRY is a charity founded in May 1995 to raise awareness of
Cardiac Risk in the Young (Sudden Cardiac Death (SCD), Sudden Death
Syndrome (SDS, SADS) which affects as many as eight apparently fit
and healthy young people under the age of 35 who die each week from
undetected heart conditions.

- We were pleased to sponsor two consultants who participated in
the Cycle 2 Cannes event in March 2009.
- This event sees cyclists of varying standards from all
throughout the construction industry participate in a sponsored
6-day, 1500km endurance cycling event between London and Cannes.
This is an annual event that departs from London and arrives in
Cannes six days later to coincide with the start of MIPIM.
- Money is raised for five major charities; Article 25, The Tom
Ap Rhys Pryce Memorial Trust, The Sarah Matheson Trust, LandAid and
The Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
